I don't have much experience with technology in the classroom. My teachers in high school would use the Elmo, and some of my math teachers had the smart boards to use so we didn't have to use up white board markers, but there weren't many other things that I used or experienced. I had a tech class as a graduation requirement, but we did mostly photo shop and fun projects like that on Macs (and I have a PC at home).
I hope to learn more skills to use in the classroom to continue to engage students. I am also hoping to learn how to create more networks for my future as a teacher.

Welcome to EME2040! I also love theatre, especially musicals. The theatre department puts on amazing shows. I try to go to at least one every year. If you haven't been, you should go!
ReplyDeleteHi Clarissa! I am a senior theater major, so I can totally help you get involved on campus! We have so many opportunities for auditions or volunteers within the school and also with different clubs and organizations on campus. Our first show of the semester opens on Valentines Day and it is In the Heights the musical. The School of Theater has certain nights where we do $5 student tickets, so you should check that out!

Clarissa! I'm from up north too. Ohio, to be exact! I'm with you on the change in climate. It seems like the only weather this state has is hot, hot, and even more hot! I hope you've come to like it here. Florida is a place that grows on you.
